Affordable Song Licensing and its subsidiaries and affiliates (“ASL”, “we”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy tells you how we collect, use, and disclose information about you through the services offered by ASL including our website located at www.affordablesonglicensing.com (the “Site”) and any services, features, content, and applications offered from time to time by ASL in connection with the Site, and any other future website(s) and/or digital applications controlled or operated by ASL or its affiliates, whether accessible via personal computer, mobile device or otherwise (each, a “Service,” and collectively, the “Services”). “We,” “our,” or “us” refers to ASL and its affiliates.
Collection of Your Personal Information
The personal information that we collect depends upon how you interact with our ASL Site and/or Service(s). You may at any time refuse to provide the personal information that is requested. However, please be advised that this may restrict and/or not allow us to provide our Services to you.
As a visitor to the Site, you can browse without providing any personal information.
Our web servers may track and collect the domain names and IP addresses of visitors and site users and this information may be aggregated to measure the number of visits, average time spent on the Site, pages viewed, etc. We may use this information on an anonymous basis to measure the use of our Site and to improve the content we offer. The above information will be stored as long as necessary on our servers located in the United States (See Retention of information section below).
Information we receive from Third Party Service Providers
We engage third party service providers to process payments and payment information as well as to make relevant payment methods available to users of the Services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of each website, service, and application you use. We may obtain data from these service providers. This allows us to process your payment and provide you what you purchased. From such third-party service providers, we may receive the following information:
- the type of payment card used such as a credit or debit card and issuer;
- certain digits of the card number;

These service providers will be permitted to obtain only the personal information needed to provide their respective service. They are contractually required to protect the privacy and confidentiality of the information, securely maintain the information with proper safeguards, and are prohibited from using it for any other purpose other than as needed for the service that they are providing on our behalf.
Information about our customers, including personal information, may be disclosed as part of any merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our business, as well, as in the event of a bankruptcy, insolvency, or receivership or similar occurrence, where personal information may be transferred as a business asset. In such event, we shall notify you and update this Policy as described in the Changes to this Privacy Policy below.
Retention of Personal Information
We will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service(s) and fulfill the transactions you have requested, and/or as is necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Because these needs can vary for different situations and contexts, actual retention periods can vary based on criteria such as, but not limited, to our legal or contractual obligations, User’s ability to automatically delete data, and User consent.

How we Protect your Personal Information/Security
Information you provide through our site is protected and sent using SSL/TLS (Secure Sockets Layer/Transport Layer Security) security technology to encrypt information while it is in transmission over the internet. Any information you provide to us via email is unencrypted.
You agree to use your username and password only to purchase licensing services and conduct business on behalf of yourself or the organization you represent. You will not permit others to use your username or password for any reason. We will not be liable in the event of loss of your username or password or for any misuse by anyone of your username or password. You have the sole responsibility to secure and maintain your username and password, and you agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your username or password.
We strive to maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to safeguard the information collected by the Site and/or Services. However, no information system can be 100% secure; we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. Moreover, we are not responsible for the security of information you transmit to the Site and/or Services over networks that we do not control, including the Internet and wireless networks.

If you license a song through the Site, you may view your order receipt via email.

The Site may contain links to other sites such as artists, our affiliates, and third parties. This Privacy Policy only addresses ASL’s use and disclosure of your Personally Identifiable Information collected on our Site, if any. While we try to link only to sites that share our standards and respect for privacy, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third parties or the content of linked sites. Please read the applicable privacy policies and terms and conditions of such third parties or web sites.
European Data Protection Rights
If the processing of personal data about you is subject to European Union data protection law, you have certain rights with respect to that data:
You can request access to, and rectification or erasure of, personal data;
